Alone and confused, Loki finds himself lost in the human world. Fortunately for him, the young God wakes up on the doorsteps of Stark Tower (aka Avengers Tower).
Although reluctantly, The Avengers agree to house Loki under their roof after they realize that the young man isn’t aware of the things he had done and is not a threat anymore (due to his lack of magic and wicked/hateful thoughts.) They keep a watch on him however, just in case anything amiss is about.
At first, young Loki feels distress over the fact that he had been abandoned on Earth by his father for a mischief he could not remember doing. When he first meets the Avengers, he dislikes them (mostly because they treat him rather horribly at first). But in spite of himself, Loki slowly starts to takes a certain liking towards Tony Stark, who - surprisingly enough - also can’t help but feel a certain fondness for the God as well.
When Thor comes to Midgard to check if his brother was alright, young Loki is stunned to find that Thor had grown into a man. He demands to know why he was still stuck in this shape but Thor doesn’t answer him.
(Spoilers: The curse weakens whenever Loki starts to care for someone other than himself. It causes Loki to age faster and his magic to come back to him. Unfortunately, this also makes Loki remember certain aspects of the past while his body starts to grow into adulthood. At the end of the story, Loki is forced to choose which person he will like to become - his past self who had been overcome with hatred and the agony of loneliness… or his present self, who had come to understand the complex meaning of what love truly is (partly from his growing relationship with Tony.)
“Father!” Loki cried out into the sky, trying desperately to make his voice heard.
The passersby looked at him strangely, but Loki took no heed. He was desperate for answers. He had woken up with no recollection of how he had gotten there… nor why he was there to begin with. Loki did not recognize anything that surrounded him which, he hated to admit, frightened him. He always knew about certain things, better than anyone in his family.
What also perplexed Loki with deepening dread was the fact that no matter how hard he tried to muster his magic to life, he could not make it ignite. It was as if this world had stripped him of the one thing he could rely on in his life. He felt vulnerable under the towering buildings, gleaming with their artificial metals.
”Well, you can shout, can’t you?” a voice spoke to him from behind and Loki spun around to find a middle aged man wearing a sharp suit look back at him with a curious but cautious gaze.
“Leave me be.” Loki warned, eyeing the man with distrust. The smile on the man’s face unsettled him.
“Why are you calling for your Dad anyway, kid? You know you could use something called a cellphone to communicate nowadays.” The man quipped, ignoring Loki’s threat entirely. It made Loki frown in annoyance.
“I have no need of your assistance. Now leave.” Loki said, trying to sound cold and indifferent. Instead, it came out as a whisper of uncertainty. He was lying when he said he required no assistance from this stranger. Loki was tired and famished. Without his magic to keep him steadily warm, the wintery air chilled him to the bone.

“What’s your name?” Tony inquired as he observed the young man. There was something distinctively familiar about his appearance and the way he spoke, but he couldn’t quite put a finger on where he had seen him before.
The young man with the emerald green eyes now turned to gaze at him wearily.
“I am Loki of Asgard.”
